...Does anyone even remember who I am?
Well, if you don't, that's OK. If you do... this is why I've been gone...
First of all, I've been extremely lazy.
Secondly, I have an alternate account that I've been checking far more frequently than this one. At first I wanted to keep this a secret, but I may as well just admit it: this freak...

Lastly (and probably most importantly), I've been hanging out on tumblr a lot more than I've been on dA. My tumblr is here: unnecessarycheese.tumblr.com/

Amnesia Drugs

I got my wisdom teeth yanked out today.
Apparently they gave me a drug that would temporarily wipe out my short term memory during the procedure. So I was sort of awake, but I have no memory of it. Which is a really strange feeling.
Especially since there's this part of my brain nagging at me that I really do remember it, but I know that I don't, and that part of my brain won't stop torturing me. 
Say nothing, evil-skwrl. Nothing. Unless you reeeeaally want to.
And now my mouth is in agony and I can't eat hot food or food that involves chewing for an indefinite amount of time.
This kind of sucks.
...But at least I have my computer. Because, you know, computers make everything better.

Microsoft Windows

Recently, I finally got VMware working so I could run Windows-only applications in their native environment.
So far the only one that actually seems to work is Miku Miku Dance (which is one of the most addicting programs I've ever used, but I'd like to use others as well.)
PMD Editor encountered a problem and had to close. Before it actually opened. Even though I have DirectX and .Net Framework installed.
UTAU will open, but it keeps saying something about "bad files" and it won't actually do anything. Maybe it's saying they're corrupted, I dunno...
The troubleshooters never list my problems, because apparently computers can only fail in certain ways.
Not even Google is helping.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS?
You know, Macs, they just work. And when they don't, it's fairly easy to figure out what's going on and how to fix it.
Linux doesn't exactly "just work," but it's easy enough if you actually know anything about computers.
BUT WINDOWS...
Honestly, the more I try to use Windows, the more I want to find Bill Gates and rip his guts out.
